Our long national nightmare is coming to an end. Or at least we are being briefly jerked awake by the possiblity of having intelligent adult supervision in Washington.

Thing is, Washington doesn't like intelligent adult supervision, and the lifers spit idealists out like barely chewed gum. That said, I am looking forward to a few days? Weeks? of daylight.
