More rain and fog this week, although the trees are still mostly green.
The Dalai Lama was in town yesterday, spoke at Cornell and IC. I saw him when he was here aboubt 15 years ago. Frankly, I found him a little hard to follow. There was some story about a lion and a bear or something...

A New Loch Ness Monster Siting



Skeptics will want to look at the high-res image, but I believe that I have captured a digital image of the Loch Ness Monster, a few thousand miles west of Loch Ness. Sadly, I had accidentally switched the mode on the camera from Automatic to something called 'M', to which I attribute the darkness.

It is a bit discomfortating to try and sleep at night, knowing this creature is paddling about our pond.

It's Sunday afternoon and things seem to be going the Sox way; sadly, it seems that we will not have the opportunity to properly thrash the Yankees. But it ain't over yet, and those Yankees are True Weasels and may yet find their way to the ALCS.

I've been trying to post these shots sequentually, but a) I can't keep track of them all, and b) blogspot uploads pictures seemingly randomly. But Foliage Season is hitting its stride. Which of course means that the weather has turned rainy, cloudy and windy for the last couple of days. But here's what it looked like around here when the sun was shining:
